Eurovision Song Contest: A Popular Lie?

    Millions of European people glue on TV when "Eurovision Song Contest" begin; then, they are entranced by it at that nights. Countries give a vote to choose the best. "And our 12 points... go tooo ..." This is called "Eurovision Soul".. Yet, is it a popular lie seeming to be a reality?
    Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) is a contest organized in every 2nd week of May since 1956. The mission of the contest was firstly to improve music technology and lead to create new musical movements. Nevertheless, this mission faded day by day especially since the political games in the contest. It wasn't clear initially. It was recognized after the fact that a country always give a high vote one of its neighbour. That's why the voting system was questioned in 90s and voting system turned into "tele-voting". Even after the change, almost nothing altered.

    Today, We're going to meet 2012's ESC next month. It's not a different deal. The same old story...But I confess that the first 3 songs are usually in true order, even if I sometimes may not like them, by heart.

    Milyonlarca Avrupalı "Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması" başladığında televizyonlara yapışmakta ve bu nedenle tüm gece boyunca transa geçmekte. Ülkeler, en iyiyi seçmek için oy veriyor. "Ve 12 puanın sahibi . . ." ... Buna "Eurovision Ruhu" deniyor. Ancak, bu durum gerçek görünümlü popüler bir yalan mı?
    Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması (ESC), 1956'dan beri her mayısın 2. haftası gerçekleştirilen bir organizasyon. Yarışmanın görevi başlarda müzik teknolojisini ilerletmek ve yeni pop müzik akımlarına öncülük etmekti. Ne var ki bu görev özellikle yarışmada dönen siyasi oyunlardan ötürü günden güne belirsizleşti. Başlarda bu durum pek de belli değildi, ülkeler komşudan komşuya sürekli olarak ve gelenekselleşen biçimde yüksek oy vermesiyle belli oldu. Bu yüzden 90'larda oylama sistemi sorgulandı ve tele-oylama sistemine geçildi. Değişimden sonra bile neredeyse hiçbir şey düzelmedi.

    Bugün ise önümüzdeki aya 2012 Eurovision'uyla karşılaşmaya hazırlanıyoruz. Farklı bir durum yok. Eski hamam eski tas... Ama şunu itiraf etmeliyim ki genelde ilk 3, doğru sıralamada oluyor (her ne kadar bazen sevmesem de)
